On the computer or on paper, I need a pen between my fingers and references to watch in front of me to create. I do traditional drawings d'observation, with real models or pictures I found on deviantart or in my stuff.
As for my drawing style, it changes as commissions, time, and envy go alongI can do some realistic things, cartoon fan-arts, I also often enfoy copying the Code lyoko drawing style. | | Literary & cultural references: | I'm interested in a lot of stuff. First, I have studied art in highschool, thanks to a specific class, I watch quite often some cartoons and movies, there are also a few comics that also inspire me. In general, I'd say that my stock of literary and cultural knowledge is a mix of Fantasy (Lord of the rings), of classic philosophy (Bergson), Spy thriller books (serie CHerub) and theater (Beaumarchais). The rest comes from the internet, and a few video games (PC mostly). Geek-ish culture all in all ! | | What inspires me in CL: | In code lyoko, It's the fact that each moment, each charcacter is important that pleases me. There isn't a single episode without something important happening in th characters life. The virtual world connected to our world, the dishumanized enemies, the scientific approach of Code Lyoko are also concepts that I love in the cartoon.
As for the graphics, it's simple, but they manage to show their emotions and their relations in an astonishing way. Especially for Aelita' s flash-backs (2D) and for the facial expressions (3D after season 3). | | Favorite character(s): | Aelita |
