Role: History and geography teacher

Personality and role in the series:
Friendly teacher gifted with a good sense of humour, he gives his lessons in a sometimes daunting manner! He's much less severe than Ms Hertz; he tolerates many more things (like the use of phones in class)! The worst punishment he's dished out is sending students out of class, he's not a very annoying adult!
This bodes well for our heroes when they have to fight XANA, as they can leave by just asking the teacher's permission (episode 54 “Lyoko Minus One”).
We realise that he's sometimes quite pleased with himself and he voluntarily flatters himself when he learns that Ulrich and Odd were supposedly preparing a big historical show in his honour (episode 59 “The Secret”).

Note:
He lodges at Kadic as in episode 40 “Attack of the Zombies”, he's there at night!
What's rather unusual is that he's always wearing a scarf, day and night, in class and outside!

Role: Art teacher

Personality and role in the series:
An eccentric art teacher!
Probably the only teacher who believes Odd to be a star student, in addition to his classes, he also takes charge of the cultural sphere at Kadic: the theatrical productions like in episode 60 “Temporary Insanity” and the showing of short films during screenings.

He's extremely tolerant artistically speaking and this personality trait reflects on his tastes: he likes the energy of young life, improvisation and mixing genres. In fact, he finds himself very enthralled when Odd and Ulrich (fallowing one of XANA's tricks) literally derail in the middle of a play, massacring the original text.

He has, in original to his classics, "young" cultural references such as the game Mortal Stombat.

Luckily Jeremy goes out of his way to fail the IQ and logic tests the counsellor wanted him to pass. This man is afraid of rats and seems a little timid.

Note:
In episode 11, he introduces himself as Mr Simone.

Role: School nurse

Personality and role in the series:
School nurse, she has the job of taking care of the numerous injuries that occur at the school. This can vary from the disinfection of a simple superficial cut to calling an ambulance to deal with a coma or giving advice for excessive plantar perspiration.

She comes into the spotlight of the series when she is XANAfied in episode 47 “Tip-Top Shape” and kidnaps Aelita to take her to Lyoko! However, she has to face off against a Jeremified Odd. She loses all memory of the events when the tower is deactivated!
By nature she is calm and understanding. Yolanda rarely loses her composure faced with the problems our heroes meet during their adventures and several times, she has dealed with them patiently. Never becoming angry and rarely panicking. She has a certain slightly sarcastic sense of humour, which Sissi bears the brunt of in episode 47 “Tip-Top Shape”.
Only Jim has managed to exasperate her a little, which doesn't stop her from chastising the teacher amicably when he goes overboard (episode 73 “Replika”).

Notes:
Yolanda confesses to us in episode 43 “XANA's Kiss” that she's already engaged and will soon be married!
In season 1 of the English dub, Yolanda's first name is said to be Dorothy. It changes to Yolanda (or Yolande) in season 2.

Role: Cook

Personality and role in the series:
Rosa is the lady who cooks meals at the cafeteria. It's she who makes sure each person eats their portion. She doesn't have much of an important role, but she always makes us laugh by commenting on Odd's attitude while maintaining a certain complicity with the student, pitying him having to stick to the strict culinary regimes!
However, she was XANAfied once, in episode 38 “Temptation”, when the heroes were well and truly afraid of finishing their spaghetti and meatballs!

Rosa is a good being, her physique proves that she must revel in good food! She's very close to the students and even if she gives the impression of being shy, beware of still waters! We see very clearly in episode 45 “Cold War” that even if TV impresses her, she's not one to be put down!
She's also just and refuses to give a student helpings at the expense of another!

Compassionate, she is reluctant to make dishes that aren't tasty and favours taste over a balanced diet. Not very professional from a certain point of view!

We discover she is very emotional faced with a zombie army in episode 40 “Attack of the Zombies”, when she constantly faints!

One of XANA's polymorphic clones takes advantage of this to take Jeremy's appearance in order to embarrass the girl in front of Odd and sow discord within the group (episode 43 “XANA's Kiss”)!

We also learn later that she dated Odd (episode 57 “Aelita”).

Ulrich, before redeeming himself, abuses this situation by telling him to stick to Yumi, for which she gets angry at him.
He and Hiroki come to Yumi's aid by picking a lock in episode 75 “Hot Shower”. He also fell victim to the Kiwi 2 attack in episode 86 “Canine Conundrum”.

#85 Kadic Bombshell

Personality and role in the series:

Present at Kadic for one episode, Bringa is Sissi's Icelandic penpal. Femme fatale, this beautiful girl soon attracts the attention of all Kadic and makes the boys fall for her one by one, even Jeremy and Ulrich. It's Odd however who goes out with her and this budding relationship severely threatens the group's cohesion. Odd breaks rule number 1 by taking Bringa to the lab to impress her. She touches the Supercomputer as it's running a program, creating bugs on Lyoko.
Odd is then excluded from the group. He dumps his girlfriend, realising that she's more narcissistic than in love with him. Bringa makes Sissi jealous and is therefore quickly sent to Sissi's cousin's place in the countryside.

#88 Cousins Once Removed

Personality and role in the series:

Patrick is Jeremy's cousin. Not really friends, they carry old grudges behind them, creating animosity. At summer camp, Jeremy was abandoned while Patrick was popular. In fact, Patrick is a more cool, trendy teen.
He arrives with intentions to reconcile. He is met with a very cold-natured Jeremy. Despite that, he continues to be nice to his cousin: when Sissi and Herb want to snoop around on Jeremy's computer, he intervenes...up until their XANAfication. Injured, Patrick is saved by the Return to the Past.

After that, Jeremy becomes friends with Patrick. He, however, doesn't stay at Kadic like he'd expected.

"Well, at least for now, nobody thinks what he says is stupid... They think he's, like, a comedian."

#69 Wreck Room

William's clone, though it appears special, is an old one of XANA's recipes made with Jeremy sauce: the polymorphic clone. With the disappearance of William on Lyoko in episode 65 “Final Round”, the problem of justifying the year 10 student's absence arose. At first he used his vocal synthesiser to pass himself off as Mr Dunbar and invent an excuse for William to give to the principal, but this alibi wouldn't hold for long. As a consequence, now having his hands on a Lyoko he'd just recreated with the help of Franz Hopper (episode 66 “William Returns”), Jeremy activates a tower for his own use and generates a clone as XANA had often done.

This clone had the unique goal of having the appearance of William and replacing him at the school as discreetly as possible...or not!

William's clone strayed from this route twice. Since its appearance, XANA tried to take control of the tower generating it on Lyoko (episode 69 “Wreck Room”). It achieved its goal and the clone became a dangerous adversary for our heroes.

After this incident and a Return to the Past, Jeremy took precautions. The clone remained nevertheless the same: a polymorphic clone. And it therefore kept the usual characteristics: superhuman physical abilities, immunity to pain, weakness to electricity.
From there, the heroes, while on a trip through the Network, found that the clone was a valuable ally. Come to the factory under the impulse of the somewhat snoopy Milly and Tamiya, the clone stumbled upon the real William, who XANA had materialised to destroy the Supercomputer. Allying with the “good guys”, he confronted his original model in a very violent fight. He even had the advantage at one point.
Unfortunately, William, taking Jeremy's place at the terminal, stops the program generating the clone, causing it to explode into a billion digital particles (episode 81 “A Lack of Goodwill”).

Besides these pretty exceptional events, the clone is confined to its basic role: replace William. It's deactivated by Jeremy during William's return.

The little plus brought to the series by the clone resides above all in its comical personality!

Image

Character

Image

"Well...we haven't got any other choice. We'll have to make a copy of William to replace him here at the Academy."

#67 Double Take

The clone has a personality. Nevertheless, it was designed by Jeremy to have a basic behavioural pattern. The clone must simply react to what people say to it and in no case take any initiative.

The clone's personality proves faulty, however.
The clone is incapable of understanding humour and the figurative meaning of sentences. As a consequence, it's constantly confusing things and uttering empty remarks after taking each word literally. How embarrassing for the heroes when it's promoted to supervisor of the rec' room!

The clone also has behavioural defects. It is sometimes, for example, incapable of unlocking doors because it turns the key the wrong way.
This behavioural anomaly of course doesn't go unnoticed. Though most of the Kadicians take his mistakes for great jokes, Sissi realises that something is up. Yumi must distract the pest in episode 80 “Dog Day Afternoon” to make sure she doesn't discover their trick. She makes Sissi believe that she was dating William and that love was making him crazy.

The situation becomes critical however when William's parents come to visit their child (episode 93 “Down to Earth”). They quickly find out that the idiotic clone doesn't really resemble the rebellious teen they know.
Luckily, the heroes free William in the meantime and deactivate the clone.

Although, the clone surprised the gang once (episode 81 “A Lack of Goodwill”). It imitated the other students as they were being stupid (catapulting a glass of water in the cafeteria). Horrified, Jeremy realised that the programs used to shape the clone's personality were identical to the ones that formed XANA's.
Everything therefore suggests that the clone would have had a severe adolescence crisis if the heroes hadn't deactivated it in the end.

Image

Note

We remark that, with the costume changes between seasons 3 and 4, the clone is seen wearing new clothing that the original William never had, which goes against the fact that the clone is supposed to not be able to take initiative.

Furthermore the error in episode 81 “A Lack of Goodwill” in which the real William leaves the scanners dressed in this new clothing, we find that, once back on Earth, he adopts this new clothing accordingly.
