A small news post today to tell you two things. Let's start with the music. The anglophone member of our forum ProjectCarthageCLFR has discovered two pieces of music from the series. One of them is the Tower background music. We already have a version available in our Media section but the version found by our member has an unheard part in it. The second piece is a remixed version of "A World Without Danger" that we only heard in season 1, when our heroes went to the factory.
After some verification on the staff's part, we've realised that these pieces weren't entirely unheard: Kikou used them in his Code Lyoko PC game! However, they were never put up for download, not even on his site. So here they are:
Finally, some last information, something lighter. CodeLyoko.fr is the only fansite that keeps you up-to-date on your actors' work, and so here is a short addition on the topic of Bastien Thelliez, the unmissable Jim from Code Lyoko Evolution. He played a small role in "Mère et Fille" (Mother and Daughter). You can find it in the video below, from around 3:47. Discover Jim as a DJ for parties...but be careful! He'd rather not talk about it!
Thanks to Vivi and Toad9!
Have a nice weekend! Don't forget to read the previous news from this week.

Hi everyone,
As you might know again and again, the IFSCL is progressing slowly, because I didn't have as much time as I use to have back in the days. Therefore, I can still work on it from times to times. This news isn't about a potential release, again, It's really not for now, but it's about some things that might be in the next version.
The first question is : will you want a window to help prevent characters to fall in the numerical sea. This event (falling) might happen randomly in the end of some battles (if you lose). Not always, but if this happen, the windows automatically opens, and you have to type as fast as you can the devirtualization codes before the warrior touch the sea.
As you know, Carthage will be certainly introduced as the brand new feature, not entirely (read previous news) but still, with great features. One of them being the countdown of the keys, but the problem is that we've got a lot of countdowns in codelyoko, one of them also being for the differed virtualization, that I might also add for that version (not sure though).
Note : the third screen shows a window that, of course, will be in the game, I'm only focusing on the countdown that appears on it)
So the question is, which countdown goes for what, since they've been used in any order in the anime, without sense, sometimes one was used for a specific function, and the next episode, it was for something else...
Which countdown for Carthage Keys ?
Which countdown for Differed Virt ?
Yes or no for the original falling screen of the lyokowarriors ?
The press is having a little laugh at us right now, but what can you do?
Here's another new article from the Atlantic. This article informs us on what becomes of the American branch of Moonscoop, which didn't meet the same ends as the French part of the company. Indeed, Moonscoop LLC is now 100% owned by the Young couple and has been renamed: Splash Entertainment.
Liz Young retains her presidential status, while Mike Young becomes co-CEO.
In this article, we also hear about Nicolas Atlan, ex-executive producer of Code Lyoko among other things. It's already been a while since Nicolas Atlan moved from Moonscoop to work with its American branch. The Youngs have trusted him with the co-CEO role with this new beginning, so he's doing better than his French coworkers, who very few of (two) wil keep their jobs with Dargaud and its subsidiaries.
For the nostalgia lovers who are better informed on the behind-the-scenes aspect of the series, you should remember that Nicolas Atlan is a close collaborator of the Di Sabatino brothers and a big Moonscoop big-shot. This trio has also served as the inspiration for the emblematic band in the series: the Subdigitals. Chris, the drummer with white hair, was based on Christophe di Sabatino; Ben, the bearded one of the trio was based on Benoît di Sabatino; and finally Nico, the final brunet, was based on Nicolas Atlan.
We've now given you books 1 and 2 of the Chronicles in English, and we continue our weekly schedule! The heroes' epic adventure now continues on CodeLyoko.fr through the Code Lyoko Chronicles' third book: "The Return of the Phoenix".
Our translators, backed by the rest of the "Chronicle of a translation" team, push on. This week, discover chapter 2 of book III: "Secret Agent W.".
As you will have noticed from our first two books, the following steps have been taken to make sure that our final product looks as much like the real thing as possible:
- A layout that's almost identical to that in the original novels. - Use of fonts in the original novels. - The presence of (when the time comes) coloured illustrations in high quality that have been adapted into English. - The presence of icons at the start of every chapter, scanned from the Italian versions and retouched for an optimal rendering.
Finally, we remind you of the section of the site that's completely dedicated to the Chronicles. You can notably find there a gallery containing images from the first two books and which has been updated with illustrations translated into English. Also, our French colleagues are of course working on translating book 4 at the same time, available on the French version of this news post. Follow Jim!
To conclude, for those who haven't already hopped on the bandwagon:
Have a nice read... Until next Monday on CodeLyoko.fr!

Hello everyone!
Today, we've got a bunch of news! Let's start with all the current affairs: The purchase of Moonscoop by Darguad. Two new articles have popped up on the net with some more information. The first was posted by Echos.fr. It is more detailed, even a bit reassuring that Dargaud will be using series from Moonscoop's catalogue (and so possibly the license for Code Lyoko.) On the other hand, it states that until the transition period is over, we shouldn't be expecting any big news, which means not for several months. The article will be translated to English shortly.
The second article, in English, also speaks about the purchase and gives some more details on the American branch of Moonscoop.
These two articles will soon be added in the press review PDF for Moonscoop's time of difficulty.
Code Lyoko Evolution now.
France 4 still hasn't decided to air the final episodes on their channel (19-26), because once again, after episode 18, they will return to episode 1. Canal J, however, is changing its schedule. As a reminder, the final episodes of Code Lyoko Evolution were aired by Canal J on the kids channel in the middle of the night. Now however, they will be aired all days of the week and weekend at much more normal hours. This new schedule will begin Saturday, February 1st at 8:00pm in France.
Finally, amidst all this trololol surrounding our series, here's some light news. Our actors are still alive and well and continuing their run. Lately, a small clip was put online on Mélanie Tran's Facebook (the actress playing Yumi in Evolution) among others.
It's a small clip created by Jean-Claude Tran. In the clip are Jean-Claude, Mélanie and Quentin Merabet (the actor playing Ulrich and according to Gala, Paris Match and Voici, Mélanie's current boyfriend.) Check it out here:
We've added the link to this video to the pages of the two actors above so that CodeLyoko.fr will always continue to be your complete encyclopedia and reference place on Code Lyoko and its universe. (In small, related news, Quentin Merabet played a non-recurring role in an episode of the French show "Famille d'accueil.")
Have a good week everyone! (I'll see you on tumblr )

Our translators, backed by the rest of the "Chronicle of a translation" team, push on. Unfortunately due to technical difficulties we could not make an update last week, but this week, as a world first in English, discover the prologue and chapter 1 of book III: "X.A.N.A.'s Fear".
As you will have noticed from our first two books, the following steps have been taken to make sure that our final product looks as much like the real thing as possible:

The findings of Dude Dudu #64

Hello everyone!
Today, we have without a doubt the shortest video ever in the entire history of Dude Dudu! This video is a clip that has never been aired of Code Lyoko from season 3, but before any more explanation, let's watch the video.
So then *cracks knuckles*, where did this video come from? Because seeing Aelita travel through a tower to reach Sector 5 isn't exactly common. Actually, this clip was a promotional clip bought and created specificially for a 2006 advertisement. Do you remember the Code Lyoko card game? Did you know about the cards being included in P'tit Louis products in France? And the commercial aired for this then? No? Well, this should clear things up. Because yes, this clip was used to promote the Code Lyoko card game!
Mystery solved, have a good day on codelyoko.fr!

Moonscoop bought out!

The year of 2013 was full of twists and turns for the company Moonscoop, holder of the license to Code Lyoko. We have summarized together some articles about the rough year that Moonscoop had in the update of our press review page. Moonscoop was finally bought out by the publisher Dargaud. Rather than giving you all a long explanation, here is the link to article for those who are interested! It is translated below.
This news rekindles hope and speculation for the future of the series. We will keep you informed as much as possible on this impact that this purchase has on the Code Lyoko license.
Thanks to SEBA01 for having shared the article!
Translation: Title: Dargaud chosen to take over the animation studio, Moonscoop By Gregoire Poussielgue EXCLUSIVE Already present in the field of animation, Dargaud significantly reinforces its catalogue. Image caption: The animation studio, Moonscoop, has been purchased by the publisher, Dargaud, which is already present in the field of animation.
The commercial court of Paris has decided: the publisher, Dargaud, has been chosen to head the animation studio, Moonscoop, which was placed in bankruptcy last year. Dargaud was in competition with another French company, Millimages, as well as Capucine, a consortium put together for the occasion.
According to our information, Dargaud made the best financial offer: 600,000 euros, to take over Moonscoop, while the competition only offered 250,000 euros each. On the other hand, for the social plan, Dargaud has the cheapest proposal, because the company, presided by Claude de Saint-Vincent, is only interested in taking over two of the twenty-five salaries that still count in the company.
The low offers are explained by the fact that various higher-ups at Moonscoop are rich. Moonscoop's catalogue, which includes series like Titeuf and SamSam, is composed of about 1,000 hours. The company was once the second greatest French producer of animated series.

Hello everyone,
Today we have a rather special finding. There's nothing exceptional about it, but it remains intriguing at least. This week's finding was an advertisement for Code Lyoko dating back to 2008, and in it, we can spot the Code Lyoko Reloaded logo in the season 2 opening.
