And with this week's post, "The Nameless City"draws to an end. There were XANA, secret agents, countless mysteries to solve, a thrilling excursion to another country, and a very interesting look at the past lives of Waldo and Aelita Schaeffer - and the adventure just keeps on getting better!
The file is in PDF format, finished off by the "Chronicle of a translation" team. This week, discover chapter 16 of book II: "The Hermitage's Last Secret" as well as the epilogue.
[The Nameless City] [Last version: Introduction, Prologue, 16 chapters & Epilogue] Translated by Rhys Davies, A_QueenOfFairys and Kelsey
For those who've never held one of the Chronicles in their hands, we can assure you that the following steps have been taken to make sure that our final product looks as much like the real thing as possible:
- A layout that's almost identical to that in the original novels. - Use of fonts in the original novels. - The presence of coloured illustrations in high quality that have been adapted into English. - The presence of icons at the start of every chapter, scanned from the Italian versions and retouched for an optimal rendering.
Finally, we remind you of the section of the site that's completely dedicated to the Chronicles. You can notably find there a gallery containing images from the first two books and which has been updated with illustrations translated into English. Also, our French colleagues are of course working on translating book 4 at the same time, available on the French version of this news post. Follow Jim!
Now that the book is finished, we have also translated its page on the site, which summarises the events that took place.
To conclude, for those who haven't already hopped on the bandwagon:
Thanks for sticking with us, we hope you've enjoyed book 2 of the Code Lyoko Chronicles!
Onwards to book 3: "The Return of the Phoenix"! Until next Monday on CodeLyoko.fr!

Hello everyone!
After we officially kicked off the Chronicles translation project in English with book 1, in modestly excellent quality, the project now moves into a weekly release schedule! The heroes' epic adventure now continues on CodeLyoko.fr through the Code Lyoko Chronicles' second book: "The Nameless City".
We've now finished working with Rhys Davies' translations, and a big "thank you!" to him for doing such a marvelous job, and to TheAaplFreak for allowing us to use it! Kelsey and Queen are now taking over, alternating between chapters. The file is in PDF format, finished off by the "Chronicle of a translation" team. This week, discover chapter 15 of book II: "Eva Skinner's Kiss".

Hello all.
A year to the day after Code Lyoko Evolution officially debuted on France 4, today, let's go back to the sources with good, beautiful and heavy stuff: a compilation of magnificent promotional images of Code Lyoko and Code Lyoko Evolution. By "promotional images", I mean either posters made to promote the series (such as "CLE, the new series, coming soon to France 4"), or images created especially to be used as series promo (such as our heroes in a fight on Lyoko, but not a screenshot). See for yourself. ;)
Today we're proud to announce the completion of a fan-project! It's Vélociraptor's comic, which has already been spoken about in previous French editions of "Our Community's Got Talent". This comic is titled "Aelita in Wonderland": it's an original crossover between the Code Lyoko Universe and "Alice in Wonderland", famously made into a film by Walt Disney, but above all the novel is the father of all fairy tales in contemporary literature.
Vélociraptor set about making this comic in a very diligent manner, posting the pages of the comic regularly on the forum. Today the comic has ended and for those who haven't had the motivation to follow it, or who can't read French, it is now available in the one PDF and in English. We advise you: it's both a nice and a quick read and is worth taking a look at.
To celebrate the release of the comic, we've changed the site banner to give the Fanproject pride of place. But above all, we've updated the project page to indicate this achievement. We've also added a little critique. In short, to read the comic, head over to its Project page!
As for the "Our Community's Got Talent" news, we've decided to modify how it works. It won't be weekly anymore. Not because our community has less talent, far from it! ;p But as we're coming out of a period of affluence in the series, news will be a bit less in number. As a consequence, we've decided to limit the weekly news posts so that some other news items will get maximum visibility. The "Chronicle of a Translation" will soon finish on the French side, but will power on into later in the year in English. But "Our Community's Got Talent" will change, so only "Chronicle of a Translation" and Dude Dudu will remain on a weekly schedule.
We haven't really decided what we're going to do with "Our Community's Got Talent". It may be mixed in with more important and varied content to make, every month, a balance of what our community has made best. Also, this will not prevent us from posting when a major work is completed, like what happened today! ;)
There you have it, have a nice read!

The largest file of all time!

Hello everyone! Happy New Year!
We're not going to start the year with best wishes, resolutions and all that. That'll come later in the days to come! Before turning towards the future, we have to take a look back at the past. The year 2013 was very rich. A new season (whether it was appreciated or not is up to you), the finalisation of our site which is now all lovely and complete (albeit with a lot of translation work still to go!), a more mature and grown-up community life, and therefore more intense and creative. In brief, many good things.
Before definitively turning the page on 2013 and storing it in its place on the shelf of the past, CodeLyoko.fr has concocted one last thing. We call it: The largest file of all time!
Do you think you know everything about Code Lyoko? Really? Let's do a little test!
Can you tell me in which episode William violently hit Jeremy? Are you capable of telling me who Francesca is? In which episode Mr Delmas personally handed back papers to the students? In which episode Mathias Burel wants to kiss Anais Fiquet? Or an easier one... Why William is annoyed at Yumi in episode 15 of Evolution?
None of those? Are you at least knowledgable about your cult lines?
In which episode Aelita says: "Jeremy, don't leave me!"? In which episode Jeremy says to Aelita: "I've had enough of only seeing you three hours a week, so it's a no-brainer!"? In which episode Jim says he was once a member of the Royal Air Force?
Nothing at all? How sad! So let's go to the file.
You know the episodes of Code Lyoko, before they were drawn (storyboard) and finalised (creation), are all written onto paper by the writers. It's what we call "scenarios" and those of the episodes of Code Lyoko seasons 1, 2 and 3 are available on CodeLyoko.fr (Episode Guide or Conceptual Documents page), in French. The French Evolution scripts are now also available, but alas we haven't gotten our hands on season 4's.
And then, you must know that between the episode written by the writers on paper and the episode that we saw on television... There are differences because the creators modified certain elements of the scripts! Sometimes elements are added, on the other hand, sometimes elements are edited or removed. It is in fact in the scripts that you'll find the responses to the questions above. And sometimes, it's worth the detour... Because the deleted scenes are often very mature ones ("violence" between the characters, "hot" scene between hormone-driven teens, etc...) censored because Code Lyoko is just a "cartoon".
So evidently, reading through over a hundred scripts to find the differences - in French, no less - takes an enormous amount of time. That's why we've done the work for you. We have created, over several months, a gargantuan file that lists all the changes between the scripts and the episodes. No need to look for them yourselves!
It remains a very long read, and translating it all is going to take ages, but there is a welcome page summarising the best changes in a best-of list that's richly decorated and in English! So we invite you to take a look at this page at least. To give you a different perspective on the whole of your series!
Thank you to all the collaborators, without whom this file would never have been possible. Collaborators on the site, editing, graphics/drawings, webmasters... You're the cream of the community and I love you all <3

Hello everyone!
So, today we have new backgrounds from season 4 such as Replikas or other places like Aelita's dressing room before her concert. But that's not all! To finish it off, along with the backgrounds we also have sketches of most of them. But enough talking, here's the link!
Happy browsing on codelyoko.fr!

[It's Christmas] The finding of...Grandfather Shaka

Hello everyone! Yes, it's already the 25th! Here's a final present.
A rather special finding today! It's not the famous Dude Dudu that regales you, but...Grandfather Shaka. As necessary, he will keep his distance, but be lenient! x) So what is it that Shaka found in his old computer files?
They're mini-mini video clips of the characters of Code Lyoko that served as an introduction to the season 3 episodes while they were being broadcast on Toowam (France3). These little sequences ripped from the channel show the Lyoko Warriors doing a small spin on the TOOWAM logo. The sequences are at least three in number. As you'll see in the video, Shaka has recouperated one whole clip in his rip, as well as half of another and a fragment of the final.
You will understand, aside from the parodic aspect of this news post, that it also serves to put out a call for any French people who might have ripped the season 3 episodes from the channel during 2006. If you still have the rips, it would be nice if you could check to see if you have any of these clips in your videos and, if so, contact us so we can eventually recouperate them and complete the site's media section.
On this note, thank you for your time and indulgence for this troll news and we'll see you again for New Year's Eve!

[It's Christmas] Galleries!

Has Santa Claus spoiled you?
Here's a little update for you. The image galleries of episodes 20 to 26 have been added to the Episode Guide. As a reminder, these final unreleased episodes of Code Lyoko Evolution were aired in French in December. We've therefore completed the Episode Guide by taking the French version into account. Aside from the details such as when it first aired, this has especially allowed us to add the galleries.
Evidently, for the moment, they're of very average quality and soiled with the Canal J logo. We'll replace them with better versions when the episodes arrive on iTunes France. However, we're unsure when they'll arrive. For the moment, nobody's been able to tell us.
