Already February ? We need something to inspire the community !


And guess what? Immu, creator of the IFSCL & the mysterious LyokoWanderer is offering you a new fan project, welcome to the LyokoVN Editor !
And it's already available !

The LyokoVN Editor main goal is to give to any LyokoFan the possibility to easily create its own interactive visual story, playable on pc and mobile alike!

Short or long stories, linear or with multiple choices, with or without minigames, you decide!

The best ? You don't need skills in code or art! Everything is provided! You only need your best pen or fanfic/episode to adapt it to VN format !
The art assets are all carefully crafted from the original show, scaled up, repainted, to get the best galery of data availablet that will expand trough time!

For the artists, or aspiring artsts, you can add your own characters & background, as well as your own musics or sounds!
Here's an example with a screenshot from the show, turned into a HD version that you are able to use in game :

You only need to take a few hours to familiarize yourself with all the tools at your disposal. You also get an example project, regularly updated.

You can also access to cool documentations & livestreams, more detailled and shorter tutorials are also planned in the future.
The content will be regularly updated, between 2 weeks & 3 months are estimated to see a new versions with their new functionalities (save system, translations, tutorials, new portraits and arts...)
A central 'Hub' is also planned in order to regroup all the VN that the community might want to create.

IFSCL 3.1.3.c & onwards!

ifscl262logoThe Code Lyoko Interface get a 3.1.3.c version !
It's more or less a tradition now, even if it's undergoing development version released. I prefer to have version with has less bugs as possibles. So here's a ".c" version which replaces the original 3.1.3 version.

Future plans...

The next version (so, not the 3.1.3.c) might be released after the 6th anniversary of the IFSCL, which would be after the 13th of April, 2016. So the release might be in April or May. (consult the progression log for more info)
A lot of content is planned, notably the two missing surface sectors : forest &/or desert.
This would also be the occasion to discover the evolution of programs you knew in 2.6.2, like the return of the phone which has been reworked a lot lately. Technically speaking the goal is to really have the lyokowarriors moving in "real world distance" from a point A to a point B, a big work is made on that, linked to the revamp of the 'real city map'.

Finally, it's the crypto-smasher which will reappear, maybe in a more interactive version that previously, but it's still under study

Next are all the windows linked to meteorites and military satellite which should return, remade.

The ideal for me would be to get all that content (3.2.3) ready for the anniversary. Plus maybe merging it with the 3.2.6 content (which means many programs of Hopper appeared in seasons 1-2-3, but I'll certainly have not such time.

The 3.1.3 is released for this christmas !

To recap, this game allows you to get your hands on Jeremie's supercomputer and act as an operator who leads his friends in the digital world of Lyoko! After more than 5 years of development, the game has been rebooted under a new engine (starting from 3.0.0) and is still undergoing development.


This version is available for Windows, Mac & Linux . In French, English, Italian, Spanish & Polish !

That new version includes a lot of new things, here's a sneak peek of it :

  • xana monsters ai (classic monsters only)
  • vehicles (also included in battle System)
  • one new sector : ICE + all systems adapted to multiple sectors
  • all-improved Y axis virtual system

The battle system has been reworked a lot since 2.6.2, like those features:

Next Version and Inside #4 !

Hello everyone !
The end of year is slowly coming. Lyokofans are getting chilly all around the world, writing fan fictions to get warmer, and in some corner of southern France, a fan in t-shirt and short, is still working on its little stuff, every night after work, for his big dream...
The fictional interface of code lyoko supercomputer has its last version released in late September, under the number 3.0.1, available on Mac, Linux and Windows. If it's not already done, don't hesitate to test it right now.


Sector 2.0
Meanwhile, the 3.1.3 version of the game is being improved, polished, especially before starting the work on the biggest chunks (other sectors as an example). The best example being the mountain sector, which obtainted height variations on its topology, to make it more organic. Also to be noted the addition of flying paths (for vehicles and flying monsters), something I've hoped to be able to add for a long time, now, thanks to enough work, it's done and working !

Release date : Between end of december 2015 and february 2016. No need to add that of course, a release for christmas would be better..

Version 3.0.1 & IFSCL Inside #3

Edit : 3.0.1 is released! Available for Mac, Linux & Windows. Have Fun !

Note : every next version of the IFSCL will need a graphic card with pixel shader 3 compatibility minimum.

Some news first,

IFSCL 3.0.0 has been released a month ago, quickly followed by a quick fix version, IFSCL 3.0.0.c, there's still some crash for users with integrated graphics cards or weak ones, but fixes are on the way with the upcoming IFSCL 3.0.1, also, fully compatible with Mac this time.

Apart from crash fixes, the main additions of 3.0.1 are the new mini cards, the possibility to stack them in the towers, and the long-awaited command list/readme available directly into the game :

Here's a new IFSCL Inside (making of) video.

Featuring a few extracts of my work on IFSCL 3.0.0, scanners and superscan, creating assets on flash, animating and exporting in or outside the Unity Engine.

 

I kept mostly the graphical part of it, since seeing me writing lines of codes might be less fun to watch. (well...you might see my definite jump from monodevelop to visual studio...)

Hello, CL fan community!  :D I'm Kevin Price, Project Creator and Director for CL Hardline and we'd like to bring you out amazing fan project!  For about a year, Team Hardline Studios have been hard at work creating a new project taking Code Lyoko to the next level.  It's taken us months to get where we are, but, I'm proud to announce that we are inching closer to our Season Launch date, aimed later this year.

Code Lyoko: Hardline is a brand new fan project set 12 years after Evolution and follows Yumi and Ulrich, as well as other characters, old and new.  We're bringing fans a completely new experience, an experience similar to TV Crime Drama presentations.  We're holding back no punches and delivering a show filled with Drama, Action and intrigue.  

This is Code Lyoko: Hardline! :) We hope you follow the crime-filled when the show premieres later this year.

IFSCL 3.0.0 - Trailer !

IFSCL 3.0.0 Trailer is out !

For the 300 version of the Code Lyoko Supercomputer Fictive Interface trailer, I've tried to reach even more the cinematic feel I'm always looking for. Hope you will enjoy, and hopefully, be surprised!

And if you've missed it, there's also the second IFSCL INSIDE (making of) that has been released a few days ago :

 

So I hope you've enjoyed them, so far it's the biggest work I've ever done, and the one I'm the most committed about. Don't forget you can still look on the progression log, and ask your questions here.

If is talk of 3.0.0 in terms of a 'reboot' of the game, it's for very good reasons: everything is remade, back from scratch. Of course 3.0.0 won't features as much programs quantity as there was in 2.6.2. but still, you will be able to experience the game on a whole new level, never reached before.

3D tactical map (now called virtual map) is of course of the main addition, but there's also countless others : all the animations have been remade, the new engine (Unity) also includes new possibilities in terms of camera effects (reboot, game over with xana logo...), backgrounds like the one you can see in aelita materialization window are now in real 3D and particles, DNA strands also and lot of details that make all the quality of the game.

There's also a tons of new commands, like virtualization to any coordinates of the Lyokoworld, which can obviously lead to falling in the digital sea ! Now it will only depends on the risks you're willing to take!
